Wash your dirty hands first!

1. Plain Sushi

Grab 1 table spoon of rice in your hand, and squeeze it softly to form a shape of an oval, use your other hand to help your self!

Cut a shrimp down it's belly, spread it wide, put it on top of the rice ball (I should say oval) and press it down gently to stick with rise. If you are using a fish piece, put it on top of the rice ball, and simply press down not hard, but yet hard enough just to make the fish stay in place.

 

2. HAND-ROLL
Take 1/2 sheet of seaweed and place some rice on top of it's left side. Remember to moisten the spatula with water so the rice won't stick to it.

 

On top of that, put your fillings in: fillet-salmon-caviar-and-kimchee, a strip of cream cheese and a little strip of cucumber or avocado (or both)

Fold it in to a cone. If you don't know how to fold a cone, refer back to kindergarden...

 

 

The very end of the cone tip should be moistened in water, so the cone will stick and won't unfold. Udaff recommends just to spit on it. Don't listen to him.
